Meet Sarah

I’m Sarah — the artist behind Thistle Lane.
My creative journey began down a dead end dirt road called Thistle Lane in the rolling Osage Hills of rural NE Oklahoma. There my childhood was shaped by the country life on a little ranch in a big family.

Diagnosed with AuDHD at 41, I finally understood why my brain never stops buzzing and why making art is one thing that brings me peace. When I am creating, the noise of the world fades away as I get lost in the process. I use different mediums such as polymer clay, my original photography, and mixed media to explore the details, textures, and stories that are often overlooked.

Every piece I create reflects a part of my heart. Rooted in resilience, from tragic losses to holding hope through difficult transitions, and starting over — my art is how I honor survival, the beauty I see in the world around me, and the celebration of life I am thankful to live.

I hope you feel something familiar here. Something grounding, something hopeful. Thank you for stopping by, supporting me and being part of the journey.

Mission Statement

At Thistle Lane, my mission is to create art that honors the quiet beauty of the natural world, celebrates resilience through life’s hardest seasons, and brings peace and connection to those who experience it. Through polymer clay, mixed media, and photography, I turn memory into matter and texture into story.
